YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Soccer freshman Giulio Mapessa was named the ACCAC DI Men's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring twice last week.

Mapessa scored his second goal of the season in the 20^th minute of the Matadors' 3-3 draw with Southern Nevada last week and then scored again in the 81^st minute to put the Matadors in front 3-2.

The Belgian defender has scored three goals this season, his first goal coming in a win over Community Christian on September 7.
