YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Softball freshman Autumn Arriola earned Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week after the Matadors opened the season at the CSN Coyotes Kickoff Classic last weekend.

Arriola smacked three home runs and went 4-for-8 at the plate in three of the Matadors' four games over the weekend in Nevada.

The infielder drove in five runs in the three games and went 3-for-4 with two homers in her collegiate debut, an 8-5 loss to Snow College on January 24.

Arriola hit her third home run of the weekend in a 9-1 loss to the No. 10 team in the nation, Salt Lake on January 25.
