Arizona Western College held a signing ceremony for 12 Arizona Western student-athletes on Wednesday afternoon, signing letters of intent to continue their collegiate careers at four-year institutions.
Arizona Western College Matadors Men’s Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was selected by the NJCAA Men’s Basketball Coaches Association to play in the 2024 NJCAA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game.
Arizona Western College Matadors Men’s Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named an NJCAA DI Men’s Basketball Second Team All-American on Tuesday morning after finishing fifth in the nation in points scored with 680.
The Arizona Western Matadors Men’s Basketball team saw its 2023-24 season come to an end with a 75-71 loss to Cochise in the Region I Semifinals on Saturday night at Apache Stronghold Gymnasium in Douglas.

Arizona Western Matadors’ Men’s saw three players earn All-ACCAC and All-Region honors on Tuesday with two Matadors earning first-team recognition.
Arizona Western College Matadors Men’s Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named the ACCAC DI Player of the Year after finishing the regular season second in the conference in scoring with 23 points per game.
