Nobuhara named Chapman Automotive Athlete of the week
YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball freshman Nanami Nobuhara is named the Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week after leading the Matadors to a straight set series win over Mesa Community college last week.
Nobuhara had 11 digs, one assist and one ace in the victory and earned additional praise from Head Coach Lorayne Chandler.
"Nanami passed well on serve receive and read well on defense," Coach Chandler said. "She made adjustments when needed and she was a big part of our success this week."
