YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western men's basketball player Illiam Fevry is this week's Chapman Yuma, "Player of the Week". The freshman guard from Paris, France, scored a career high 24 points in Arizona Western's loss to Cochise College on Wednesday. Fevry then set a new career high with 29 points in Arizona Western's 93-81 win over the College of Southern Nevada on Saturday afternoon. Illiam's previous high was 17 points on November 25th, 2025, versus Christian Community College. 

Fevry reflected on the personal and team growth this season, saying, "I've been improving since the beginning of the season. Coach Isaacs has been giving me more opportunities and now I feel more confident." 

With Arizona Western's win on Saturday coupled with Cochise College defeating Eastern Arizona, the Matadors now have a share of the ACCAC regular season title. A win on the road this Wednesday at Yavapai or at home to finish the regular season next Saturday, February 28th, will give the Matadors the league title all to themselves.
