YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Iyan Hernandez was named the Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week after leading the Matadors to another shutout win last Saturday.

Hernandez made four saves in a 4-0 win over Yavapai last weekend, posting yet another shutout in the Matadors ninth consecutive win.

Hernandez becomes the second Women’s Soccer player to earn Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week honors after Yui Suetsugu earned the honor during the first week of the season.
