YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball freshman Larryn Joseph-Rodrigues was named the Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week for the week of September 8-14 after leading the Matadors to a 3-0 win over Southern Nevada.

The outside hitter from Wai’anae, Hawaii recorded 12 kills on 23 total attacks for a .522 hitting percentage against College of Southern Nevada on Wednesday evening, helping the Matadors open their conference schedule with a win in straight sets.

Joseph-Rodrigues also had two blocks and a dig in the win over the Coyotes. The 12 kills was the sixth time Joseph-Rodrigues recorded 10 or more kills in a match.
