YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western's Linka Ono is named this week's Chapman Automotive Group, student-athlete of the week. The sophomore All-American scored the game winning goal with under four minutes to play on Saturday evening to help the #2 Lady Matadors stave off #14 Eastern Arizona at Matador Field. 

"She's our all-American, she's our captain," Head Coach Victor Verdugo said. "Put her back into the middle and she made something happen. That's the kind of player she is and as a captain she's responsible for getting it done and it was a moment in the game where we needed someone to take responsibility, and she stepped up and got us plus three." 

For Ono, the goal was her third in the season and her second game winner. Arizona Western improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in ACCAC play. The Lady Matadors will next be in action this Saturday for another conference match versus Cochise College.
