YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western College men's basketball player Marsai Mason is this week's Chapman Yuma "Player of the Week." The sophomore from Phoenix Prep High School had a big week for the Matadors in back-to-back wins over Christian Community College on November 25th and 26th. Mason scored 11 points in 19 minutes in the Matadors 98-66 win on November 25th. He then led the Matadors with a double-double, his first of the season, in Arizona Western's 97-66 win over the Saints on November 26th at "The House." Mason finished the contest with a team high 24 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. The Matadors are now 8-2 on the season, 3-0 at home and have rattled off five straight wins. After a short homestand, the Matadors are once again back on the road as they head East later this week. Arizona Western will face New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico, this Friday, December 5th. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm MST.
