YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Lady Matadors Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Tindra Biedermann was named Chapman Automotive Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Lady Matadors to the semifinals of the NJCAA DI Women’s Soccer Championships for the first time in program history.

The freshman from Santiago, Chile, made 14 total saves in three games in Wichita, Kan., including making a season-high six saves in a win over Monroe in the final game of the pool play to help the Lady Matadors advance to the semifinals.

In the 4-2 PKs win over Monroe, Biedermann made a pair of saves to go along with her PK saves during regulation. In total Biedermann stopped four penalties in the two pool play games.

Biedermann played all 310 minutes played by the Lady Matadors in the three games of the national tournament.
