YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore Edwin Suarez earned ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week honors after leading the Matadors to a pair of wins last week.

Suarez totaled 35 points and hauled in 19 rebounds in two games for the Matadors, helping Arizona Western to a win over No.23 ranked Eastern Arizona and a road win at Community Christian.

The forward from Reading, Penn., scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to guide the Matadors to a win over the Gila Monsters on Wednesday evening before putting together a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a win at Community Christian on Saturday.

Suarez becomes the third Matador to win ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week, joining Matt Anglo who won the honor in week one and Kaleb Myers who won the award in week eight.
