Makedika tabbed NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Player of the Week
YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Soccer sophomore Terry Makedika was named NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals in a pair of games to help the Matadors stay unbeaten.
Makedika scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Yavapai on the road on Tuesday, October 3, heading in a cross in the 50th minute to put the Matadors in front for good at 1-0. Makedika scored the Matadors' next two goals four days later, opening the scoring in a 4-0 win over Scottsdale on Saturday, October 7.
The two goals against Scottsdale pushed Makedika's goal-scoring streak to four consecutive games. The forward from Paris has scored 10 goals this season, one shy of matching his total from last season.
Makedika has put together a pair of multi-goal games this season, scoring four goals in an 8-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert earlier this season.
