
Makedika tabbed NJCAA DI Men's Soccer First Team All-American
Sophomore Terry Makedika was named a NJCAA First Team All-American on Tuesday morning after leading the Matadors in goals for a second consecutive season, helping the Matadors earn a trip to the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championships for the third straight season.
Makedika scored 19 goals, the second most goals scored in the country while recording 42 points, the fifth-highest total in the nation. The forward notched five game-winning goals this season including the game-winner in the 1-0 win over Casper in the first game of pool play at this year's NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championships.
The Paris, France native scored four goals in an 8-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert back on September 2, scored three times in the Region I Championship Game, a 4-2 win over Yavapai back on October 28.
In three games at the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship, Makedika scored three goals and recorded an assist with two of the goals coming in the national semi-final against Tyler.
