YUMA, Ariz. – The No. 6 ranked Arizona Western Men's Soccer team (4-1-1) settled for a 1-1 draw on the road at Yavapai on Tuesday night at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott, Ariz., pushing its unbeaten streak to five games.
For the first time in three games, the Matadors conceded a goal, falling behind late in the first half on a Roughriders goal that put Yavapai in front 1-0.
The Matadors were able to keep Yavapai off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game to keep close.
Aiki Sadaoka leveled the scoreline at 1-1 with a goal with 23 minutes to play as the Matadors were able to come from behind to earn the draw.
Arizona Western has the weekend off before returning to action next Tuesday, September 24, hosting College of Southern Nevada at 4:30 pm at Matador Soccer Field. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors while Arizona Western College students get in free with their AWC ID.
