YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Women's Basketball freshman forward Mable Doumbia was named the ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week after setting a season-high in points last weekend.

Doumbia averaged 19 points per game and 8.5 rebounds in two games last weekend. The freshman had 23 points and grabbed six boards in an 80-79 loss to Casper before scoring 15 points and hauling in 11 boards in a win over Northwest. 

23 points in the loss to Casper was the freshman's season-high, and both games scoring in double figures pushed Doumbia's streak of games with double-figures point totals to five to start her collegiate career.
