YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western College Matadors Women's Basketball team (21-3, 12-2) won its fifth straight game with a 91-26 win over Community Christian College (0-16, 0-13) on Thursday afternoon at the House Gymnasium.
Nyah Hardy recorded a triple-double in the win, scoring 13 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out 14 assists in the win. Isabella Molina was the game's leading scorer, scoring a season-high 31 points in the win.
The Matadors outscored the Saints 33-5 in the first quarter and never looked back, holding Community Christian to just 11 points in the first half.
Dimitra Manouseli was the team's third-leading scorer, scoring 17 points off the bench and Mable Doumbia scored 14 points.
The Matadors return to action on Wednesday, February 19, hosting Yavapai at 5:30 pm at the House Gymnasium. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors while Arizona Western College students get in free with their AWC ID.
