YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Women's Basketball freshman Nyah Hardy was named ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 18 points per game in two Matadors' wins last week.

Hardy started the week by scoring 13 points off the bench to help the Matadors earn a 78-28 win over Yavapai to sweep the season series with the Roughriders.

The guard from Houston, Texas finished the week by pouring in a season-high 25 points off the bench in the Matadors' 72-61 win over No. 22 ranked Cochise on Saturday, hitting four three-pointers in seven attempts.

Hardy becomes the third Matador to earn ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors this season, joining Rita Gomes and Mable Doumbia.
