Three Matadors earn DI Women's Basketball All-ACCAC and All-Region recognition

YUMA, Ariz. – Three Arizona Western Matadors Women's Basketball players were recognized as All-ACCAC and All-Region performers after helping the Matadors to a 25-win season and a regular season ACCAC DI championship.

Naomy Zonzon-Huyghe was named a First Team All-ACCAC and First Team All-Region Region I DI honoree after averaging 16.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per contest in her freshman season. The guard from France scored a season-high 27 points in the Matadors' 70-52 win over Midland in December.

Rita Gomes earned both Second Team All-ACCAC and Second Team All-Region after averaging 11.8 points per game in her second season at Arizona Western. Gomes averaged 5.9 rebounds per game and 1.9 assists per game and shot 39.6 percent from three-point range in the regular season.

Dyvine Harris earned Second Team All-ACCAC recognition, scoring 10.0 points per game and averaging 5.5 assists per game. Harris scored a season-high 20 points at Southern Nevada back in January and averaged 1.5 steals per game. The sophomore from Lincoln, Neb., was the ACCAC Freshman of the Year in 2023-24.
