Martinez scored four goals in Women's Soccer's 14-0 win over Pumas

YUMA, Ariz. – The No. 9 ranked Arizona Western Lady Matadors (13-1, 12-0) finished the regular season with a 14-0 win over Paradise Valley (0-14-1, 0-10-1) thanks to four goals from Ashly Martinez on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Matadors scored 12 of their 14 goals in the first half with Martinez scoring all four of her goals in the first half. Leigha Dobbins opened the scoring in the 1st minute with the would-be game-winning goal. The Lady Matadors scored three goals in the first four minutes in the win.

Martinez grabbed her first goal in the 3rd minute to push the lead to 2-0 and completed the hat trick with back-to-back goals to extend the lead to 5-0 in the 17th minute.

Genrosa Vidal finished the game with a pair of goals, scoring a goal in each half. The Lady Matadors have now scored 28 goals in their last two games combined

Arizona Western will open postseason play on Saturday, October 28 in the Region I final against an opponent to be determined at 4:30 pm at Matador Soccer Field.
