
Women's Soccer stays at No. 5 in latest NJCAA rankings
YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western Matadors Women's Soccer team held steady at No. 5 in the latest NJCAA DI Women's Soccer rankings released on Monday morning.
The Matadors are coming off a pair of wins last week, opening the week with a 6-0 win over College of Southern Nevada. Yui Suetsugu recorded a hattrick in the win while also tallying a pair of assists.
Arizona Western finished the week with a 5-0 win on the road at Mohave in its first-ever matchup with the Bighorns. The Matadors were led by Diana Taddei who scored twice in the win while Iyan Hernandez recorded another shutout.
The Matadors head to Redlands, Calif., on Tuesday, October 1, to take on Community Christian before returning home on Saturday, October 4, to host Yavapai.
