Henry-Souquet-Bressand and Yamada sweep ACCAC Volleyball Player of the Week awards

YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors volleyball sophomores Lilou Henry-Souquet-Bressand and Rana Yamada earned ACCAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Matadors to four wins over the weekend at the Dalton Overstreet Invitational.

Henry-Souquet-Bressand had 36 kills in four wins for the Matadors over the weekend at the Dalton Overstreet Invitational while also recording 32 digs. The sophomore outside hitter had 12 kills in a 3-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert.

Yamada led the Matadors with 57 digs in 13 sets over the weekend, tallying 21 digs in a win over nationally ranked Mesa on Saturday. Yamada also had five service aces in the four wins. The libero also recorded five service aces over the weekend.

The Matadors have won four matches in a row including a win over the No. 15 ranked team in NJCAA DII, Mesa.
