Double-doubles nab Valencia Gamboa ACCAC DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honors

YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball freshman Natalia Valencia-Gamboa was named the ACCAC DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after helping the Matadors to a pair of 3-1 wins over Yavapai.

The outside hitter recorded 24 kills in eight total sets over the weekend while also tallying 26 digs in a pair of double-doubles.

Valencia-Gamboa had 13 kills and 16 digs as the Matadors came back from losing the first set to take the match 3-1 over Yavapai on Friday before following up that performance with 11 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon.

Valencia-Gamboa has now recorded six double-doubles with kills and digs in her freshman season.
